PING First to Implement Support for the Instant Payment System in BiH
The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina has officially launched the Instant Payment System, marking a significant milestone in the modernization of the country’s payment infrastructure. PING is the first banking software vendor in Bosnia and Herzegovina to successfully implement support for the new system, enabling its production deployment by banks.
The implementation of the Instant Payment System was a complex project that required close coordination among multiple stakeholders, seamless integration of various systems, and compliance with stringent technical requirements within a demanding timeline. Through close collaboration with partner banks and other project participants, PING successfully completed the implementation and enabled the production use of the new payment system.
The solution has been successfully deployed for Intesa Sanpaolo Bank BiH and Sparkasse Bank BiH, making these institutions among the first banks in Bosnia and Herzegovina to offer instant payment services to their customers.
“The TIPS Clone instant payments implementation project gave us the opportunity to further enhance the way our systems support modern financial services and to adapt our ABIS Core Banking System and ELBA Digital Banking Platform to the requirements of the new payment infrastructure. The modular architecture of our products, the use of proven enterprise technologies, and the high level of business, domain, and technical expertise of our engineers enabled us to implement support for integration with such a significant system through targeted enhancements to key functional components within a very short timeframe. We are pleased to have participated in a project of such importance for the development of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s payment ecosystem alongside our long-standing clients, and to have contributed to faster and more efficient payment services. We believe this infrastructure will serve as a strong foundation for the continued development of digital financial services and future initiatives of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina.”
said Emir Harbinja, Director of Operations, PING d.o.o. Sarajevo
